How Much to Charge for a 360 Photo Booth at Holiday Parties

Updated November 2026 · 4 min read

Sell holiday party 360 bookings at $945 for 3 hours or $1,395 for 4 hours, using example benchmarks for a mid-size US metro, and protect your December Thursdays and Fridays. With only a handful of prime nights each season, the real decision is which package goes on each date: every December date sold at the $595 base is a date you cannot sell again.

Many holiday parties are company parties. That means corporate paperwork, an open bar, and a December weather risk to plan around.

Why December pricing is about packages, not discounts

Compare two ways a mid-December Friday can go:

  • Spin Essentials at $595: 2 hours and a template overlay. After the $145 true cost and card fees, you keep about $432.
  • Spin Party at $945: 3 hours, a custom holiday overlay, props and a backdrop. You keep about $747 (worked out below).

That is roughly $315 more for one extra attendant hour and some design time, on a night you were going to work anyway. Lead with Spin Party and never discount December; the scarce date is your leverage.

Book-by-October: the offer that fills the season early

Holiday parties usually book 2 to 4 months out, so run your corporate outreach in September and your offers through October. The offer that works without touching price: reserve by October 31 and get a holiday-themed overlay and props at no charge.

On Spin Essentials that is $125 of add-ons ($75 overlay, $50 prop box) that cost you design time and prop wear, not cash. Spin Party already includes both, so for those clients the bonus is simply getting their date locked before November.

Worked quote: a 140-person company party at a brewery event space

  1. Spin Party, 3 hours, 7:00 to 10:00 pm: $945
  2. Travel: 18 miles, inside the radius: $0
  3. Total: $945. Retainer $283.50; balance $661.50 due 7 days before.

Paid by company card, fees are $27.41 plus $0.60, so $28.01. Your cost is $145 plus $25 for the third hour, $170. Contribution: about $746.99.

HR's goal is that everyone joins, including the quiet teams. At about 30 spins an hour, 3 hours is roughly 90 spins and 270 rider slots at 3 per group; departments ride together, so that covers 140 people with time for repeats.

Family and friends' holiday parties: same booth, different buyer

Not every December inquiry comes from HR. Neighborhood parties, extended-family gatherings and friends' ugly sweater nights book too, usually on Saturdays, with 40 to 80 guests at a home or a rented room.

These clients pay by card, decide in a day or two, and rarely need a W-9. They also compete with your corporate clients for the same few weekends. A simple rule keeps it fair:

  • Quote them the same rate card, starting at Spin Essentials for under 75 guests.
  • Do not hold a Saturday for a company that has not paid its retainer while a family is ready to book.
  • Apply the backyard rules if the party spills outside: level hard ground, cover, and a dedicated outlet.

A home party at $595 that books in October beats an empty Saturday you were hoping a corporate client would fill.

Contract points for an office holiday party

  • Alcohol: riders who are visibly intoxicated do not ride. The attendant offers a group photo at the backdrop instead, and ending service for conduct is not refunded.
  • Weather: severe winter weather that closes the venue is force majeure, and the booking moves to a new date within 12 months.
  • Budget cuts: companies cancel parties. Cancelling 30 to 59 days out owes 50% of the total, and under 30 days owes all of it.
  • COI and W-9: hotels and office buildings often want a certificate; ask for the wording 14 days ahead.
  • Power: catering warmers trip shared circuits. Put the dedicated outlet in writing.

Have a local attorney confirm your cancellation terms read correctly under your state's law.

Questions operators ask

Should I charge more in December?

You can, but a published December surcharge invites comparison shopping. Selling packages instead of base bookings raises your average December ticket without touching the rate card; New Year's Eve is the one night to charge your highest rate of the year with no discount.

Can I run two holiday parties in one night with one 360?

Rarely. Setup takes 60 minutes and teardown 30 to 45, plus the drive, so a 5:00 to 7:00 pm party and an 8:30 pm start only work if the venues are close and the first party ends on time; quote it only if neither client loses hours.

What if the party is at the office?

Check the freight elevator, loading rules and the building's COI requirements before you quote. Office ceilings can be low, and a 360 with an extended arm needs about 9 feet of clear height.

How do I keep the line moving when the whole office wants to ride at once?

Ask the host to announce the booth in waves, one department at a time, right after dinner. Load the next group while the current video renders, and keep a 3-foot clear zone around the arm so the line does not crowd the platform.
